Order of the Arrow
The Order of the Arrow is the National Honor Society of Scouting America, composed of Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives as elected by their peers. Tonkawa Lodge 99 is affiliated with the Capitol Area Council and its chapters correspond to the CAC districts. This site is for the Armadillo Chapter.
New Members & Candidates
Welcome to Armadillo Chapter of Tonkawa Lodge 99! Whether you’ve recently been elected or have already completed your induction, we’re here to help you take your next step in the Order of the Arrow.
Come to a Chapter Meeting. Join your fellow Arrowmen for fellowship, Chapter updates, and fun! Our monthly meetings are a great way to meet the leadership team, hear about upcoming events, and find opportunities to get involved in the Order of the Arrow.
📅 When: Second Thursday of each month—check our calendar for upcoming dates and schedule changes. October and May Chapter meetings are at the Assemblies.

Elected? Here’s What Happens Next
Congratulations on being elected by your fellow Scouts! Election makes you a candidate for membership. To become an OA member, you must complete the lodge’s induction experience.
1. Choose an upcoming induction weekend.
Check the Tonkawa Lodge calendar for upcoming assemblies and registration information. Plan to attend as soon as your schedule allows. Candidates generally have 18 months from their election date to complete their induction.
2. Register through the lodge.
Follow the registration link for your chosen event and select the appropriate candidate option. If you haven’t received candidate information or need help registering, contact our Chapter Advisor.
3. Prepare for the weekend.
Read the instructions sent with your registration carefully. Follow the event’s current packing list, medical-form requirements, and arrival and departure times. Contact the event staff ahead of time about dietary, medical, or accessibility needs.
